The Tradewinds Island Grand is a classic family friendly beach resort, casual yet crisp, with a hint of island tropics situated in 18 lush tropical acres, with waterways, gondolas, Victorian gazebos, beachside hammocks, overlooking the sugar white sands of St. Pete Beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

The Tradewinds Island Grand is known for its meandering waterways shaded by abundant vegetation and filled with white swans and Nile Perch. Guests can wind their way through the resort area via paddleboat.

Swimming pools: Heated pools for year-round comfort are located throughout the resort and are open to all guests. Four pools are located at the Island Grand and two at the Sandpiper, while the Island Grand also features a children’s pool, wading area, and one designated as adults-only.

Additional amenities include pool bar, jacuzzis, fitness center, sauna, lighted tennis courts, paddleboats, beach volleyball.

Water-sports center featuring sailing, parasailing, wave runners, catamarans, kayaks, water skiing.

The Tradewinds Island Grand features 585 rooms with two double beds, wet bar with sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, clock radio, hairdryer, iron/board, in-room safe.

Standard Rooms have two queen size beds with the option of Tropical or Gulf Front View.

One Bedroom Suites have two queen size beds, living room with queen sleeper sofa and fully equipped kitchenette.

All rooms are fully air-conditioned with climate control and feature: private bathroom with bath/shower, cable television and telephone.
