In winter, enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, spot wildlife at National Bison Range, tour Yellowstone National Park to see geysers and mineral hot springs, browse in art and heritage centres, explore the historic district and mineral museum in Butte, where gold was found in 1864 and shop for genuine western gear.

History is all around; you can follow the Lewis and Clark Trail, see the site of Custer's Last Stand at Little Bighorn, explore the ghost towns and old mining camps, see Indian pictographs dating back more than 4,500 years, handle dinosaur fossils in one of the State Parks.  Montana is truly unforgettable!
