Washington State is the outdoor state which still manages to stay unspoilt by mass tourism whilst still having all the facilities you could possibly imagine to make a fantastic holiday: National Parks such as Olympic and Mount Rainier, quiet beaches, giant forests including a temperate rain forest, remote coves, swift salmon rushing rivers, eagles, dolphins, seals and whales; great waterfalls, volcanoes and magnificent snow sports during the winter months.

Seattle, known as the Emerald City is a beautiful, clean, sophisticated but casual city surrounded by water. A compact walking city where you can find great restaurants, clubs and bars, famous sights, fun attractions and the cultural arts all within the downtown area where you can ride the buses for free during the day. This is the gateway to Washington State and the Pacific Northwest.

Washington State is the home of Boeing and Microsoft.  It is also the setting for various films and TV series from Frasier, Northern Exposure and Twin Peaks to Sleepless in Seattle, Disclosure and Snow Falling on Cedars. When you long for wild places and rugged shores, yet you want culture and sophistication close at hand, you don't have to sacrifice one for the other in Washington State.
