Wyoming
is home to more wildlife than people and is a place where there are
still Cowboys and Indians and where the countryside is unspoiled, wild and open.
Home to Yellowstone National Park, the world's first National Park and just
south of Yellowstone is Grand Teton National Park with peaks rising to nearly
14,000 ft - you don't get scenery much more dramatic than this. Nestled in the
Teton Mountain Range, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers a year-round location
with high mountain adventure in winter on skis and snowboards and in the summer
plenty of activities to enjoy this rustic old west town.Activities such as ranching, cattle drives, river floats, mountain biking and hiking are just some of the outdoor recreational activities that can be done throughout this beautiful State. Other scenic highlights are Bighorn Canyon, Fossil Butte, Flaming Gorge Lake and the awesome 865 ft high monolith, Devil's Tower. In Cody, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center is a superb trio of museums and there is a nightly rodeo in the summer months. The capital of Wyoming, Cheyenne, also has rodeos in July during Frontier Day festivities and there are other Wild West attractions year round. |
